In this video, I show you how simple it is to format a hard drive in Mac OS X using the built in program, Disk Utility.

  • I don't have the original snow leopard, but my mom did get an iMac with the gray disc. Is there any way to get this to work, because it does say that it can't install. I know you are supposed to have...the black disk..isn't it?

  • @CJmakesvids you have to have the disks that came with the computer or a generic leopard/snow leopard disk.

  • Thanks for this video. Question: My MacBook is from 2009, I think. It's the white one before the last one that was made. Do you know if I can use any hard drive with it? I mean, what's the maximum amount of GB that my Macbook can handle?

    Thanks!!
