Political satirist P.J. O'Rourke offers an original solution to teenage drunk driving - drug legalization.

-----

If scathing, uproarious, and insightful political satire were not enough, for more than 30 years P. J. ORourke has written about his love affair with the automobile. His newest book, Driving Like Crazy: Thirty Years of Vehicular Hell-bending, Celebrating America the Way It's Supposed to Be--With an Oil Well in Every Backyard, a Cadillac Escalade in Every Carport, and the Chairman of the Federal Reserve Mowing Our Lawn combines his classic articles on automobiles with new material and traces the birth and death of America's car obsession. - Cato Institute

Patrick Jake O'Rourke is an American political satirist, journalist, and writer. Born in Toledo, Ohio, he was educated at Miami University (Ohio) and Johns Hopkins University.

  • that that that the problem eh eh eh is lol

  • Use drugs, it'll take the bravery out of them! Getting pulled over for doing a 15 in a 75....FUCKING GENIUS!!! It's sad there aren't many conservatives like him anymore!

  • I love that guy!

  • Had someone already mentioned Mark Twain, or did you just decide that Twain's method of humour is the only valid one and all others must be judged by their resemblance to his?

Incidentally, given that this is another one of PJ's "whack attempts", would you kindly point out which part of what he said in this video is greed and/or appetite worshipping?

  • while it can be used as a tool to attack something an individual disagrees with, it can also be used merely as a source of humour and commentary on an occurance

  • Satire is when you mock something you disagree with. My impression is that this guy actually believes that if we completely stop regulating driving and drug use, everything will magically be better.

  • he was joking. its called satire.

  • This would be funny if he were joking
