Brendan's Black and White Clonbrook,Guyana

Another popular grassfinch/seedfinch kept as a songbird in Guyana. The local name is "Moustache" or "stache" for short. When young this bird is a green/brown color and as they get older they molt to a beautiful black and white color as with this bird.Maybe the name "Moustache"comes from the white feathers on the face that looks like a moustache.
