Alexandra calls Ross to her office where they discuss her lawsuit against Alan Michael. Ross tells Alex that Alan Michael was at his house late talking to Blake about Alan's wedding gift. Alex believes that Alan and Alan Michael could be working together and she also tells Ross that Blake could be in danger. Alan Michael is at Blake's talking to Phillip on the phone and finds out Phillip has not had any contact with Alan in over a year. Alan and his asst discuss Alexandra and Alan Michael. Alex and everyone else thinks Alan is still in prison, but he is actually living in Springfield! Alan Michael is the only one who knows he is no longer in prison. Now that Alan is back, life in Springfield will never be the same! Ron Rains has taken over the role as Alan and this storyline plays out thru the rest of 1994, and you will see it all unfold right here on my channel, so stay tuned!!
Hilarious how the next time Philip is mentioned is when he came back for Lucy and Alan Michael's wedding and suddenly Alan Michael had hated Philip his whole life (very crappy rewrite)

@abab0s I agree with your points about the cameras etc, but that is not the actors fault. I think Ron was great! I liked Chris as well but his acting was a little stiff at times. If people didn't like Ron, they certainly didn't have to watch! I think it's rediculous that people think that when they recast actors on a soap that the new ones are going to come in and look and act exactly like the original actor who played the part.

@abab0s Obviousley you people don't remember that they did recast Alan right away! Daniel Pilon played the role from 1988-1989. I think Ron did a great job as Alan...he must have done something right or he would not have played the role as long as he did!

I remember Cris Bernau in the role of Alan, and he was awesome (I watched with my grandpa). So, when he passed away, I appreciated that GL didn't try and recast Alan right away. I thought they did an awesome job with recasting Ron Rains in the role.
