The Joe Perry Project was essentially Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry's solo project, which Perry started working on shortly before his departure from Aerosmith in 1979.
The original band line-up consisted of Perry, singer Ralph Morman, bassist David Hull and drummer Ronnie Stewart. This line-up recorded The Project's 1980 debut album, Let the Music Do the Talking, which was produced by long-time Aerosmith producer Jack Douglas.

  • Such a good tune....... i Cranked it back in High School.

  • have loved this song since it came out! definitely a forgotten classic. I have the LP on vinyl. love the lyrics "I'll be with you my love, so by my side don't stray..." perfect!

"let the music do the talking" is another favorite on this album.

  • @guitarist7sg tottaly paul should have never left free

  • @guitarist7sg and plus Paul Rodgers totally ruined Livin' On The Edge

  • @TheMTFaces the Project that recorded this is totally different...but you still suck

  • bad company is crap bumch of pop rock fks they couldnt play a lead guitar to save their lives so go fk your self mt face you weak ass poser

  • i saw these guys supporting bad company in brighton (england) and frankly they werent up to par, i think they need to rehearse more because compare to bad company they were a bit crap, sorry, its just how I felt at the time.

  • the STINGRAY bass-intro alone makes it all worthwhile to buy the album

  • I think Joe's version of Let the Music Do the Talking is better than Aerosmith's.

  • The music is great but the vocals and lyrics aren't up to par.
