Vintage Sony STR-D2020 Stereo Receiver Repair - Part 5. Testing The Repair.

The Test of my repair. I replaced the stock 12000uf 71wv capacitors with new Panasonic 12000uf 80wv. wv= working voltage uf=mirco farads the originals have suffered from age, and abuse, maybe a power surge.

dont know if u know this or not but that delay upon power on is a saftey feature so u dont blow the speakers across the room upon powerup i have a vintage kennwood that does that and its way older and bigger and heavier than that reciever u jst repaired and its does that delay to id say my kennwood is late 70's early 80's vintage
