  • The bass does shake things...depeding on the source material...I have the dials in the back about 1/3 the way up..but for true lows a dedicated sub might be good..im thinking a epik sub shortly for more fun...lol..but it will depend on your personal tastes...:)

  • well I found out why music in stero was more proficient in the left tower while streaming Pandora through my bluray player....I had too bit stream through my receiver to get even sound....weird but it works flawless now...:-)

  • this is interesting because I have a pioneer elite vsx-31 and when i switch to stero my left speaker is more profficient than my right...this might be a pioneer issue...drives me nuts

  • I have close to the same setup with 8060 towers, mythos 3 center, 2 Studio Monitor 350. I have one question did you have to set the AV receiver to a high crossover to better sound out of it. Mine is lagging a little. Great setup.

  • @MrBigflyboy no...my crossover for my center and surrounds is 80hz...I am not sure what you mean by lagging....I actually redid my livingroom so I could spread my towers further apart and as it is now I just use my two towers and 2 surrounds.....I turned my center off as I feel I get better sound this way...:)....I also have no EQ settings for my speakers just the distance set with the pure signal going to them for bluray's and music....my system sounds better now this way..lol...great setup too

  • @MrBigflyboy

also is it a certain speaker that is lagging?...or your system as a whole?

  • Seth Rogen? lol

  • Hey nice set up. Working on a def tech setup myself. I saw your comment about a dedicated sub and couldn't read without making a recommendation. I own a new def tech supercube 4000 (1200 watt 8" sub) and love it. I'm working towards the 8040 towers, a notch below yours, because of the 8" woofers in the towers are gonna match my sub. I highly recommend the supercube 6000 (1500 watt 10") to match your towers. The subs are expensive but this hobby is expensive. take it from me...get the sup

  • How good is the bass in them in the real world? Does it shake stuff in the room, any chess pounding? Or you would recommend a separate dedicated sub for bass heads? I just order a pair of these along with the CS8060 HD center. I have been waiting a year to finally put my system together and it's needless to say that I'm super stocked. Thanks for sharing the video.

  • I'm sorry I meant most of the sound come out of the front right speaker.

  • I've picked up a pioneer 521 receiver and I noticed that most of the sound come out of the front left speaker instead of the center speaker. Why is that? What setting do you have it on?
