That doesn't look like "Hollywood" when the try is awarded. It looks like Kevin Roberts to me. Doesn't bother me that the ref might've made a mistake. No video ref rubbish. Game was better then anyway
This footage looks like the 1979 season.I don't recall Dowling coming to Wests from Parramatta until the start of 1981.The kicker was probably Wayne Smith or Peter Walsh? Its hard to tell.Yes I agree that it does look like Mark Bevan who made the tackle and it was Les Boyd who scored the try...
maty graig - totally agree about the offside there - was it Gary Dowling who kicked to Eadie - and was it Wazza Boland who made that awesome tackle on Eadie - i must be getting old as i somehow recall MIke Bevan involved somewhere there too. BTW - i got a hold of the 1977 (?) AMCO CUP win had over the Easts side - its on VHS but still great.
Boyd....i used to love watching him punch on with the Pommy front rowers.

NOT OFFSIDE IDIOTS
Back then you only had to be 5 metres from the guy (in any direction) and as soon as he started his run then you can move in.
Fair TRY !!!

After looking at it again it could actually be Don Moseley kicking the ball? I could be wrong though...
