144 MHZ Mega ESkip Event that ran for several hours to many parts of the country to include Mexico and Northwest Canada. An event to remember. Alot of operators were on working the band and making contacts with new States and Grid Squares.

  • That is a quite awesome skip on 2m!

  • @1OFGODSOWN Elecraft called me back tonight. There is an internal transverter offset in the menu. The radio was suppose to be factory set with a signal generator. I have it on frequency now with the frequency readout. Neat feature just did not read that deep in the manual. Thanks for making me investigate further.

  • @jdizzy47 OK on the alignment issue.I have NEVER operated a K-3 or considered one since I'm a BIG fan of the fan of a REAL TIME bandscope like in my ICOM 756 PROII but live without one on my ICOM 746 PRO on 2 meters.Good DX & 73

  • @jdizzy47 The way I see it, why not those weather radio stations are always transmitting (or at least most of the time are) so they make good beacons. Similar to how some of the 6 meter ops used to use full power analog TV.

  • @jdizzy47 Thanks, I used to use the free Windows Movie Maker to toy around with video but when upgraded to Windows 7 found WMM was stripped down to nearly worthless program. So went shopping and ended up with a program Video Show Expressions not much better. Looking for something to make good videos that's easy to use and maybe similar to WMM in format.
