Barbara : Le Temps du Lilas (dedicated to my love....)

Barbara (Monique Serf, 1930-1997), exceptional French artist, singer, composer, poet and - last but not least - amazing human being allways defending the weak (for example she was one of the first helpers and founders of foundation for people suffering AIDS). Even been Jewish and persecuted during the II World War she never hated Germans - on the opposite, she loved this nation (see Barbara´s famous pacifistic song "Göttingen"). So not only astonishing artist, but real personality having powerful character was she....
The song "The Time of Lilac" is one of her first ones, music and lyrics of course written by herself. By the way memories play important role in her art - like this one remembering her childhood and juvenescence....
