Monsters vs. Aliens: Mutant Pumpkins from Outer Space
A Halloween TV special entitled Monsters vs. Aliens: Mutant Pumpkins from Outer Space premiered in in USA on the NBC channel on October 28, 2009. The special was released on DVD along with Scared Shrekless.
Susan and the fellow monsters go back to Susan's home in Modesto, Ca; just in time for Halloween celebrations. Susan spends time with her parents, while the other monsters join in trick-or-treating and collect a large amount of candies. Later, it is revealed that the monsters came to destroy mutant pumpkins disguised as Jack-o-lanterns. When the pumpkins begin to eat children's candies to grow larger, the monsters and children defeat them by throwing excessive candies to bloat them up and explode them. But, in a twist ending, some of the pumpkin "blood" (a green goo that mutated the ordinary pumpkins) falls into a planting of carrots, causing a mutant carrot to be formed.

Monsters vs. Aliens (the movie) is a 2009 American computer-animated 3-D science fiction film produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by Paramount Pictures. The computer-animated movie was the first to be directly produced in a 3-D format instead of being converted into 3-D after completion. The film was released March 27, 2009. It was released on DVD and blu-ray September 29, 2009 in North America and included the easter egg to the upcoming movies and previews. Monsters vs. Aliens features the voices of Reese Witherspoon, Seth Rogen, Hugh Laurie, Will Arnett, Conrad Vernon, Rainn Wilson, Kiefer Sutherland, Stephen Colbert, and Paul Rudd.

Shrek Scared Shrekless
Scared Shrekless is a 21 minute television special set shortly after the events of Shrek Forever After. It premiered on the network NBC on October 28, 2010. Shrek challenges Donkey, Puss in Boots and his other fairy tale friends to spend the night in Lord Farquaad's haunted castle, telling scary stories to see who can resist becoming scared and stay the longest.

Thriller Night is a 6 minute short film parody of Michael Jackson music video Thriller. It was directed by Gary Trousdale, and released on September 13, 2011, on the Scared Shrekless DVD.


DreamWorks Dragons: Gift of Night Fury
Gift of the Night Fury, formerly known as How to Hatch Your Dragon, is a 22 minute short film based on How to Train Your Dragon, and will be released on November 15, 2011, on DVD and Blu-ray, along with Book of Dragons. The short will show Hiccup and Toothless flying to a new adventure to discover an island of never before seen dragons. Explosive action and fire-breathing excitement collide in this exhilarating story.

DreamWorks Dragons: Book of Dragons
Book of Dragons is a 18 minute short film, based on How to Train Your Dragon, and will be released on November 15, 2011, on DVD and Blu-ray, along with Gift of the Night Fury. The short will show Hiccup, Astrid, Toothless and Gobber telling the legend behind the Book of Dragons and revealing insider training secrets about new, never before seen dragons.


How to Train Your Dragon is a 2010 3D computer-animated action fantasy film by DreamWorks Animation loosely based on the 2003 book of the same name. The film stars the voices of Jay Baruchel, Gerard Butler, Craig Ferguson, America Ferrera, Jonah Hill, T.J. Miller, Kristen Wiig, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse. The story takes place in a mythical Viking world where a young Viking teenager named Hiccup aspires to follow his tribe's tradition of becoming a dragon slayer. After finally capturing his first dragon, and with his chance at finally gaining the tribe's acceptance, he finds that he no longer has the desire to kill it and instead befriends it.
