  • I also play the Euphonium, and have been playing about 4 years now. Excellent projection and air support. What model is that, Yamaha YEP 642? Or maybe a Besson.

  • @Minatour94 The model in the video is a YEP-201 I think. I play on a YEP-642S now.

  • Really nice job. How long did it take you to learn the solo?

  • Well, I started to learn it in the middle of the summer and then took a few months off of this solo until we started to rehearse it in early Spring.

  • Great job! Do you happen to play a stringed insturment?

  • I do. I actually play the cello.

  • tell the band to shut up so we can hear you

  • I was 1st Tuba when we played this. Tim is a good friend of mine. I think that Tim is one of the best young musicians in the Nation. He's a great guy, makes a lot of funny comments.

  • Amazing tone on such a student instrument. It's the same model I learned Euph. on. I think I can hardly match his tone now, with a 321

  • Amazing performance, I don't assume you're in High School still, would you like to offer some advice to a new euphonium player?

  • i must say the euphonium-ist's tone quality is very nice!

  • Nice job. I too, am a euphonium player. Since 1996. I performed this solo with the Waco Symphony Orchestra in 2009. A personal favorite of mine :)

  • Despite my bitter envy, I must say, that was terrific! I have been playing euphonium for 3 years and am about to enter college, yet I'm sure I'm not that good! I went to a high school with a relatively weak band, so I was always the big fish in a small pond when it came to my skills, but invariably, a cursory YouTube search always brings me down to Earth.

  • how can i get a good tome like that

  • We did this song in 2003 when I was a sophomore. I wasn't the soloist, but this song always gave me chills and sounded so medieval and triumphant :)

  • I was looking for another version of Rhapsody for Euphonium by Jerry Brubaker. Then I saw this. Its alright but the other arrangement is freakin sweet. I have played it myself. This is a Good Euphonium player for 9th grade. Good job bro and keep up the good work.

  • good day tim, i like that solo (rhapsody for euphonium). but i dont have a copy of that, i'm from the Manila. if you don't mind, can you send me a copy of that solo in my email. jennielle08@yahoo.com -thanks-

  • great performance. your tone quality is nice. very nice sound
