Where did you read this? And by what author? I have read numerous books from respected historical writers over the last 15 years and have never read this. Yes, Elizabeth never married, but *may* have slept with Dudley, but she certainly never had "dozens of partners."

I have read extensively for the last 15 years on the period and watched numerous documentaries and have never read or heard of this. What book or paper and author wrote this? Plus, the film is wildly inaccurate.

The reason why we was called "The Virgin Queen" is that she never married, and thus, in the eyes of the Church must have been a virgin.
