KK7B's Audio Signal Processor and Audio Amplifier from the R2pro are used with N7VE's FireFly with Tayloe Detector to make a complete stand-alone phasing receiver. I get about 38db of opposite side band suppression. Although the camera mic distorts the audio somewhat, the receiver sounds fantastic. It is a pleasure just to sit back and listen to it.
The VE7CA QSK ( http://www.ve7ca.net/ART/Perf_QSK_QEX_Mar06.pdf ) circuit is working quite well - you can hear audio between the dits. I got rid of the thumping you hear in the video (by fixing a bad connection to the ASP board) and now it sounds like a million bucks. The raspy sidetone is the square wave from the processor on the keyer fed through a capacitor to the input of the audio amp. I'll probably make up a separate Twin-T sidetone oscillator.
The FCC-1/2 DDS VFO is from http://www.NorCalQRP.org/ . The controls along the bottom no longer do anything. The FireFly at one time was mounted inside the DDS VFO.
KK7B's R2pro along with some of his other designs are available from http://www.kangaus.com/ .
The FireFly was from http://www.qrpkits.com/ but is no longer available. Information about the kit is still there under the menu item, 'Retired Kits'.
The Craig Johnson EZKeyer is available from http://www.wa0itp.com/aa0zzkeyer.html
