Chopin and Guests concert will be held May 2, 2010 at Convocation Hall, University of Toronto
The Celebrity Symphony Orchestra conducted by the charismatic Maestro Andrew Rozbicki returns with a magnificent recreation of music by Fryderyk Chopin and world famous arias and songs.
This time the CSO has invited phenomenal soloists from Poland: one of the foremost mezzo-sopranos, Beata Wardak, first tenor with National Opera in Warsaw, Leszek Świdziński, baritone from Musical Theatre and Great Opera Łódż, Tomasz Rak, and Prize Winner of Third Canadian Chopin Piano Competition 2010, Elizabeth Schumann.

The program includes Chopins, Piano Concerto no.1 in e-minor Allegro, maestoso, vocal and instrumental music and Walter Buczynskis - Remembrances (Chopin 2010) World Premiere. Composer and pianist W. Buczyński was the first-ever Canadian to participate in the Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw 1960. In the second half of our concert, you will enjoy favourite arias and popular songs performed by 80 musicians: Bishop Marrocco Choir, Celebrity Symphony Orchestra and excellent soloists from Poland.

this is such a great video, surely Prof. W. Buczynski deserves to be acknowledged and praised for his wonderful achievements, and, I will certainly be flying to Canada to watch this concert on May, 2nd....BRAVO!!!
