@1957pinup. Sorry, brother...but the truth never goes "out of fashion". Kiss is overrated and their talent is average at best. They have some good songs. That's undeniable. But strictly as musicians, I'm gonna disagree with you. But hey, that's just my opinion. And you know what they say about opinions, right?

@thisischavez Dude, the whole "Kiss are mediocre musicians" thing is long out of fashion, since people realized what damn good musicians they really are. You gotta catch up and stop spewing lines from 1977 that Zeppelin fans used to say.

nobody can touch the daltrey scream and gene is nowhere in the same league as the ox. I respect that kiss is honoring one of the bands that influenced them and so many other great bands the one and only the who.

Watch Gene carefully on that video... He nails that tough line while singing on top of that. Do you call that novice?
Gene's style is totally opposite to Entwistle's, more sticking-to-the-basics (Entwistle himself had said that "The Who don't have a proper bass player). Plus, Gene's basslines have always been the framework of KISS music, pay attention to Modern Day Delilah out of Sonic Boom (takes some balls to pull this one properly)
Props to Gene (even if he's a real douchebag as character)
