This is also the only known version of "Hey Jude" with double track vocals, a technique developed at Abbey Road in 1966 and used by the Beatles extensively on Revolver and later albums. This version of "Hey Jude: has the best sound on the web, Listen on headphones for the complete experience. "Hey Jude" was released in August 1968 as the first single from The Beatles' record label Apple Records. This slightly shorter version also had a backwards ending. nice stereo field... but it's a strange mix - lots of bottom, lots of top... like it was mixed on dodgy speakers... and I can hear sibilance and overenhanced plosives... still a great song though...
