  • Teresa Brewer was just a voice when this song occupied a top spot in local radio stations (early 60's)...in a small village called Villamonte.

  • On this date in 1956 {Feb. 25th} "A Tear Fell" entered Billboard's Top 100 chart; eventually it would peaked at #5 and spent 23 weeks in the Top 100...

    Ranked 49th on Billboard's Year-End Hot 50 Singles of 1956 chart...

Reached #2 on the U.K. Singles chart...

Ray Charles' covered version peaked at #50 in 1964...

Billy 'Crash' Craddock's 1977 covered version reached #7 on Billboard's Hot Country Singles chart...

In 1955 Ivory Joe Hunter's version peaked at #15 on Billboard's R&B chart...

  • I like you golden voiced,,,,you voice like connie francis

  • I had my first smoochy dance to this song and will never forget the girl who danced with me, she had dirty ears, so i asked her for a date because no one else did and i felt sorry for her. When we met up on our date i gave her a bar of soap and she gave me a toothbrush. We never did meet up again, but i often wonder if she still has the soap because i still have the toothbrush and use it every week

  • My mom gave me her old song book and I searched for the songs... that's how I found this - and I'm loving it! Thank you mom for introducing this song to me.
