been trying Backtrack4 (bt4-r2) and Backtrack3 (bt3-final) for days now following the instructions on the lifehacker website and it doesn't work! So I then downloaded spoonwpa.lzm and SWPA.lzm which are now on my desktop on their own (not in a folder). So what do I do?
Also do I have to add these files into Backtrack4 before I burn to cd? I am using Power ISO. Have (Windows Vista)!

there is an easyer way... get magic iso .. there is an icon you click in the menue of it that says mount drive..
when ya click it it creates a drive like C: but C: is taken so it uses another letter that isnt taken.. then when that is done the other menue selection you can click is load or mount ISO file.. then run iso file after this shoud open Bt3 or Bt4 even
..as far as adding spoonwep on Bt4 itself..not sure yet

I have a weird question hopefully someone can answer, Ive just installed BT4 dual boot. When i try to even cd Desktop it returns no such file or directory, I'm just baffled!!

@Ronnieflip Ronnie, i typed "sudo apt-get install lzmdir" and tried "sudo apt-get install lzm2dir" also... in backtrack 4 R2 it say's Couldn't find package lzmdir, i think in R2 they might have there own servers from backtrack instead of from ubuntu?

one question, are you running this on a laptop? I have vmware installed in my PC, but cant get BT4 to recognize my ethernet card...
Any ways, good tutorials!

It works no matter if u are using a laptop or Desktop.For the ethernet card fix try this at your console.
cd /etc/init.d/networking start
Hope it works.
