There was another book released posthumously called Vampire Vultures, a collection of odds and ends, if you like How Bluegrass Music Destroyed My Life or stories about cat people it's a sure thing.

this is vintage Fahey .Saw him twice out in the NW, in Seattle and Eugene. Old beat up station wagon outside the Tractor Tavern and of course it was Fahey's,and in Eugene he was hanging around next to the stage selling his art for 10 dollars a pop (bought two). He's from Tacoma Park MD and so is Johnny Walker Lind (god bless 'em)

I played on this stage. I had no idea I was standing on such hallowed ground.

Ge whillikers. I realize I may have got my new copy from an eBay seller- I don't remember- a couple years ago. The book is fun, some great stories, some of it heartfelt, some more odd. It has the form of autobiography but much may be invented. His tale of being sought by Antonioni, and of times with Booker White are amusing. It's certainly well worth searching out. Perhaps try a search beyond amazon- there are a LOT of booksellers on the Internet.

I have a copy signed to me with a comment "How's life?". I never figured out why he wrote that.
