Alexander Ovechkin puts knee on knee hit on Sergei Gonchar game 4 Pens VS Caps playoffs 2009

Alexander Ovechkin's knee on knee hit only draws a 2 minute tripping penalty, this very closely resembles the hit Ulf Samuelson put on Cam Neeley and was crucified forever as a result. There is a penalty known as "kneeing." And "intent to injure." If this had been any other player there would at minimum be a suspension.

i dont understand i mean it looks to me like gonchar tried to get out of the way but should have kept his head up the whole time..... Matt Cooke would have gotten suspended because he would have made it LOOK deliberate and probably say something to the guy lying on the ground afterwards and isnt the best hockey player in the world (or at least one of them.) Gotta remember @theKennyHalt NHL is about revenue more than ANYTHING else!

I remember right after this happened Matt Cooke(before all the controversy with him) He said that if that was him that did that or any one else they would have been suspended for a long time with out a doubt
