Dreamweaver CS3 bug - bgd-repeat x leads to slow scrolling

I am using Dreamweaver CS3 (9.0) on MacOS 10.4.10 on a Macbook Pro 2,33 GHz / 2 GB RAM

1. When scrolling over a table cell with a background-image set to background-repeat: x, Dreamweaver CS3 pauses a short while when scrolling.
2. With the html file still open: if the background-repeat attribute is disabled in the CSS, the scrolling becomes smooth.
3. If the attribute is enabled again in the CSS with the HTML file still open, the scrolling remains smooth
4. If the HTML file is then closed and re-opened, the scrolling is jerky and slow again.
