@valesiagurl No, he playing a normal acoustic violin (well, a lefty one, anyway) that's been hooked up to a speaker via the mic clipped on by his chin.

Good filming! As a musician I really appreciate seeing a video filmed with tight shots that actually show what the performer is doing with the instrument as opposed to the typical wide shots that are totally unhelpful :)
