Sorry it has taken me so long to make an actual update. I want to thank Therese for helping me get through the past few days, you are amazing. I also want to thank anyone who watches or leaves comments or sends messages--you all are a huge support and I can't imagine doing it without you. I was very lucky to come across this community and couldn't be happier.

I am also sorry for the near tears at the end-I do not want to discourage anyone...its just a HUGE change and it takes a bit for my mind to catch up if you know what I mean.

Thank you again, God bless :)

  • Ran out of room before I was done...

So anyway, please keep Katie in your thoughts and prayers. I'm hoping all is well. Lots of love to you Katie! We're rooting for you!

    Love

    Therese

  • Thanks so much Therese! You look after me better than Bear does half the time, haha! I am feeling better now but it was a rough night. I appreciate your prayers. MUAH

  • yay katie! congratulations! you look great. it is awesome that you are being honest about the things you go through at the hospital. my surgen said that after the surgery there is "pre walk" and "post walk" after surgery. i agree with you 200% on walking, the more i walked after surgery the better i felt. lol, i was a total hall rat at the hospital. you look great! great job!

  • Thanks so much! I never thought that simply walking could make me feel so good!

  • First of all you look amazing for just having surgery on Friday..I'm no RNY expert whatsoever but I have seen several folks who feel a bit cruddy at first but at about week 4 that all changes and they feel fabulous... I bet you feel better each day. good luck!!

  • Thank you so much! I was feeling really good too! I have been quite lucky--but I definitely took a step back that night haha

  • Was your surgery done open or lap?

  • I have been waiting with baited breath for your post-op vids! It's so great to see you and you look & sound wonderful. :)

As someone who is a week away from her own surgery I am incredibly grateful for your honesty. I think it will help me cope with my own after surgery issues knowing what it was like for you.

And for those of you who are following Katie, I got a text from her today and she was not feeling well....she was in a lot of pain and thinking of head back to the ER. :(
