@carlosxyz10 It wasn't the lead singer (Thomas Mars), it was one of Phoenix's guitarists (Laurent Brancowitz). And pampa19 is right, the band was called Darlin'. It's possible that they all kind of know each other though, since both bands are from Versailles and were active in the 90s music scene there.
