Sumo - Tokyo Day 9 - Asashoryu v Ama 9-22-08

**Important info - please read**

So this match features my two favorite wrestlers - yokozuna Asashoryu and fellow Mongolian Ama.

If you're able to follow Sumo at all from where you are - via the web or some other source besides my vlogs - than you already know that Asashoryu pulled out of this tournament after his loss to Ama here.
Citing a recurring elbow injury, he did not fight on Day 10, giving Goeido a walk-over win.
Most sumo fans are speculating that his mediocre 5-4 record was the real reason he pulled out.

This is the 2nd tourney in a row he has pulled out of.

He has a lot to prove in Fukuoka in November - I can't wait to see him back in action!

Hard to see fabulous Asashoryu out-witted, fall into such a trap. But Ama is also a fast-thinker and did all the right moves, leg-grabbing included. You can't but wish him a soon and successful ozeki-ship. Brains for it not missing...

Such a bittersweet victory...really entertaining match though for an Ama fan
