Late Runner

In 2008, Michael McClelland and AJ Steele decided to go above and beyond the requirements for level 2 media studies and instead of "producing and directing a short film", McClelland and Steele took on the task of creating so much more.

Today, McClelland is still talking in third person - but the film he and his friend made has finally come to see the light of day, fully edited and finalised for distribution on YouTube.

The story (because it needs to be explained to be understood - or even watched) is this: Ralph P. MacMillan (Chuck Slogrove) and David Garcia (Jesse Meaker) are small-time freelance video store workers catching out late returners and enforcing fines. However, things turn nasty when these hirers-for-hire uncover a big DVD piracy ring and find themselves chasing down the case of a lifetime in an epic pursuit to win back their badges and clear their names.


Scream at the horror! Squeal at the comedy! Laugh at the irony of an anti-piracy film which itself infringes upon the very foundations of copyright!

And now, in this SPECIAL EXTENDED DIRECTOR'S CUT EDITION, you can appreciate the film as it was originally intended with more plot hole digging, accent swapping underexposure than you can shake a bad Tarantino reference at!
