Kevin Higgins (Chief Executive, British Council Wales), Tom Barrance (Media Education Wales), and a group of the British Council Wales' active citizens discuss what it means to be a global citizen and the importance of being aware of global issues that affect your local community.

The three day Pierhead Sessions took place from 4th - 6th March 2010 in the Pierhead Building, which is located opposite the Senedd building in Cardiff Bay.

The Pierhead Sessions are an engaging and entertaining series of events staged with the enthusiastic help of partners, marking together the 10th year of the National Assembly for Wales on its estate of public buildings on Cardiff Bay. Produced by The Festivals Company for the National Assembly for Wales Commission in conjunction with partners.

Pierhead Sessions TV is produced by The Festivals Company in collaboration with Cardiff University, University of Glamorgan, Tall Man Films, and Andrew Gurney. All the interviews were conducted by students from Cardiff University and the University of Glamorgan
