This is a four part series on my concept of the "Carry System". I started carrying right after I received my Concealed Handgun License in the great state of Texas. My first carry gun was a Kimber Ultra Carry II with Crimson trace. It is different from the Kimber Crimson Carry only in that mine did not come with Crimson Trace and I added it later my self. Breaking-in the gun with 500+ rounds did not solve an annoying once-in-a-while jam issue I had with it. Sometimes it would work fine and sometime it would jam. Therefore, I dumped it in favor of a CZ-P07 DUTY.

The CZ P-07 DUTY is an amazing handgun. In the over 2000+ rounds of all sorts of ammo I cycled through it, there was not a SINGLE jam or hiccup. However, the CZ-P07 is really a Duty handgun meant to be carried in a duty holster. It has sharp edges that make it extremely uncomfortable to carry. After numerous uncomfortable carry days, I put it in the house with a heavy heart.

Then, I went for the Taurus 709 Slim in 9mm (A 40 S&W model is in the work as of March 19 2010). Awesome gun! Slim, small profile, very easy to carry. However, I could not shoot the damn thing straight at the range. I don't know if it was the adjustable rear sights, but at least my experience was horrible. I also absolutely hated the very long trigger pull. I did what I had been avoiding for years: I purchased a Glock 19.

I chose a Generation 3 Glock 19 RTF2 (Rough Textured Frame Gen 2). The gun is Gen 3, but RTF frame is Gen 2. As of March 19 2010, Glock has yet to come out with a Generation 4 Glock 19. Needless to say, the Glock 19 is a fine peace of art.

In this video, I describe the Glock 19, and the concept of a Carry System. PLEASE MAKE NO MISTAKE ABOUT IT. ALL THE THREE GUNS (KIMBER, CZ, AND TAURUS) ARE VERY GOOD FIREARMS. If had difficulty incorporating them into my carry system, then that's JUST ME. You experience might be very different. Take this review just as supplemental education to your own knowledge and experience and spare me the firing squad.... LOL
