The Atlas Cheetah was a fighter aircraft operated by the South African Air Force (SAAF) between 1986 and 2008. It was first built as a major upgrade of the Dassault Mirage III by the Atlas Aircraft Corporation (later Denel) of South Africa (established 1965) in South Africa. Three different variants were created, the dual-seat Cheetah D, and the single-seat Cheetah E and Cheetah C. The Cheetah E was retired in 1992, and the SAAF had a mixture of 28 Cheetah Cs and Cheetah Ds in operational service until 2008, when they were retired as the SAAF accepted into service the first of 26 Saab JAS 39 Gripens (17C/9D) which replaced them.

  • VERGUENZA A LOS ECUATORIANOS CON ESA BASURA DE AVION....NI SE COMPARA AL MIG-29 POBRES

  • Just checked out the kfir ,hehe, its also derived from the mirage III,guess Israel and SA colluded on this one.

  • This aircraft came from the old mirage III, whilst it is not derived from the KFIR i will say that South Africa and Israel colluded in producing armaments.

  • @Fark722

write in google "KFIR TC-2" and see

  • @Fark722 dont discussion about this at all... the first model of this aircraft was the KFIR TC-2 and you can check it,the israeli air force sale the program and the project because they bay the f16 and the f15 and they sold all the air crafts to other air forces.go and look its the same craft !

  • @oded999191 no its not!

  • @oded999191 This aircraft is a South African modified Mirage III built by Atlas Corporation 5 minutes from where I grew up in BonearoPark in South Africa, this was apartheid era South African ingenuity at its best. Very similar in design to KFir, as there was a lot of co-operation between South Africa and Isreal at the time. Google that pal........ also google Rooivalk Attack helicopter, built in the same facility albeit a bit later.

  • THIS IS "KFIR TC-2" OF THE ISRAELI AIR FORCE WAS SELL TO SOUTH AMERICA COUNTRY ! THIS IS NOT A MIRAGE ! THIS IS A ISRAELI MADE AIRCRAFT.GO TO GOOGLE PICTUR AN WRITE THER " KFIR TC-2 " AND YOU WILL SEE
