TAMPA, Fla. (Nov. 7, 2011) -- Kalanithy Vairavamoorthy, an internationally-recognized water expert, has spent his career studying water issues related to urban growth, climate change and how a population can benefit from a sustainable water system in the face of future challenges.
As director of the University of South Florida's Patel School of Global Sustainability, Vairavamoorthy is committed to a school dedicated to interdisciplinary research and teaching with a focus on improving the quality of human life and supporting fragile ecosystems. Born in Sri Lanka, he has worked on developing programs for UNESCO and the European Union.
