Thank you so much! I will definitely try your suggestions. I am trying to hide the thumb indeed but sometimes I found that it is kinda hard to shift the force to hold the grip. Any pointer that can help reduce this problem?

Guitar teacher here :) Not bad at all, but you hurry too much on those triplets - take it easy :) I suggest slow practice and the use of a metronome. Also, keeping the thumb on your left hand on the back of the neck will ease the use of the 4th finger, which, after some practice, will help playing the chord changes more smoothly.

Thx so much ;) It's an easy song to learn but to play it smoothly is proven to be a bit tricky for me. I do play this almost each week once but I still make mistakes even it's been almost a year I played it. Guess I'll get stuck in this state forever....

mate you dont suck at all!
That was well good!
I know that song is a bitch to play with those weird chord shapes.
Well played man and cool guitar

love the sound of that guitar.

what an strange guitar!
i've never seen one of those in my life!
great piece!
-
Thank you kindly ;) The guitar is a Yamaha SLG100s. I love it especially when playing during my kids' nap time.
-
Nice playing what kind of guitar is that?
-
wow always great to hear a classical piece!..it's soo relaxing!.i'm also working on a classical piece for my next vid!..Peace!
-
You referring to my right arm? Actually since I am always holding all my guitars in the classical guitar position (neck pointing up 45 degrees) the right arm is kinda semi-suspended. My elbow is slight resting on the edge of the guitar but arm or my body never rest on the guitar since you have to keep your back straight for playing classical. I have to agree that this position is better if playing a full size classical not a thin body though.
-
Hey I got another question about the guitar if you don't mind... Isn't it uncomfortable to rest your arm on that black edge? Normally I rest more on the body of the guitar you see...
-
Thanks =). I know I am not a pro so any positive comments are always welcome ;) I will just ignore those "dude you suck!" ones however (tell me something I don't already know LOL).
Action on this guitar is a bit lower than most standard steel acoustic I think although I never own an acoustic besides this SLG. I get used to Strat type low actions but those are for electric solo.
I love Satch too! Although I play mostly classical now I still like his stuffs.
-
Great you take criticism so well. Better for you :)
Further it was a nice performance. I remember when I was into Satch and liked this song as well.
How's the action on that guitar? Are the strings close to the fretboard?
-
Cool. All I can say is... it sounded pretty good to me. I actually like the slide effect. Oh well. :D
-
Thanks so much! I think it has quite a few flaws in it so I hope that I will do better in version 2
-
Nice point there. You are correct. Somehow these Martin 80/20 give a lot of that slide noise especially when they start to rust up compare to the electric. And I was kinda nervous too ;) Thanks for the tips and I will definitely practice more on that and hopefully do a version 2 in a few months.
-
You shouldn't hear the 'slide'-effect when it's not meant to be heard. So you got to slow down, lift your fingers further so they won't touch the string, and then put 'm down on the strings again. If you can do that well slow, only then you can speed up.

Very good.

Yup. Bascilaly the setup I got I is guitar->PC's line in->recording software. The only way I can hear the actual sound in the recording is via a headphone ;)
