Kirk of St Nicholas, Aberdeen is one of the largest medieval Burgh Kirks in Scotland. The Municipal Carillon of Aberdeen is in the tower of St Nicholas Church and is the largest in the British Isles. There are 48 bells,
making up four octaves, and all were cast by Gillet and Johnston of
Croydon. This informal video footage was taken during the Aberdeen City Open Doors Day on Saturday 12th September 2009.

  • Thanks for comment. I must go next year prepared to create a proper video. I just had my Nikon Coolpix P6000 digital camera on this occasion.

  • Great video. Thanks for the scenes. I just discovered that my great-great-great grandparents were married in this Kirk.
