The Original Finish Line FAIL

You saw it here first, the finish line fail. Sad thing is if that first guy would have held on a little longer he would have been All-American (top 25 finishers). What do you all think? Is it just me or is that funny? Doesn't it look like the second guy is from the 1800's with those chops?

P.S. - Personally, I qualified and ran in this Nationals race three years in a row, that's how I stumbled on the video, so I can have a sense of humor about this because I know how hard it is.

That was a win not a fail. Two athletes pushing themselves to the point where they can't stand for their teams. Any one who would "lol" at this clearly could use some of the heart that these two kids have. Awesome effort.

@librarybean - I ran this Nationals race 3 years in a row and I can still laugh about this because I've been there and know what they're going through. It's not about making fun of them. I have much respect for everyone at that meet, but you also should have a sense of humor about these things. I've finished races like this and wouldn't blame people for laughing at me, heck, I'd laugh at myself - don't take yourselves too seriously guys you'll miss out on some funny times! Peace

@alta8bird I agree totally, I ran Nike Cross nationals twice and now I row crew in college, I've collapsed running before and passed out during a crew race and had the oar hit me in the face, shit like that is mad funny. If i saw a vid of that happening to me id LOL for sure.
