David Attenborough has been for a long time (and will always be) a hero of mine. Even back in 1984, he already saw what would happen to our great planet. And it is happening...global warming, the destruction of the rain forests, the extinction of Earth's animals, and on and on. Attenborough's message rang clear in 1984 and still has purpose today...please save our planet before it's too late!!!

This is a clip from David Attenborough's - The Living Planet - New Worlds - Part 12 - 1984

  • Yes Sir David Attenborough has been a huge part of my life growing up. Its a shame a post like this has been viewed 1.204 times but some stupid teen sings a silly song & falls on there head, it gets viewed 20.000.000 times. It is for this reason we are all destined to fail.

  • @deancyrus1 - I completely agree with you

  • People are greedy, it's just too sad but true. I love this man. I see why he is your hero. I remember seeing him, this clip actually, in one of the "Symphony of Science" videos.

  • @dragonofthedarknight - Sir David Attenborough is a great man. Has done a lot for us and I am eternally grateful to have learned from him. Cheers

  • 1:27 "we shouldn't so exploit natural resources that we destroy them. Common sense"

    Nope: scientifically illiterate.

"if the discount rate is higher than the highest possible return on the fish stock, it would make sense to deplete the stock and invest the profit in a more productive asset.1 [...] Any fish we do not take immediately can be regarded as an investment, yielding a return [that] must be compared with the rate of return on alternative investment."

  • As much as an absolute hero he is...Its an absolute tragedy we didn't listen!!
