First off, God Bless everyone out there. I wanna say that I support all types of God music, worship tunes, and have nothing against any of them that Glorify our Lord Jesus Christ. This is a video going out to a Brother in a ministry whos in the metal scene helping people with walking with Jesus. Pray for this mans ministry, and God Bless his humble heart to our Lord Jesus for being serious about his Faith in Jesus and helping others. I think its important to remember that God exists everywhere, and He loves EVERYONE. Lets plant some seeds for Christ together brothers and sisters. Have a beautiful and Blessed day! God Bless everyone out there....JESUS CHRIST IS LORD!!!!

  • At some point you need to lay down your love of heavy metal/death metal music before Jesus - I know its hard to let go of somethings in our lives when we come to Christ - we are work in progress after all - Praise Him!. The origins of this type of music are unholy, Satanic, occultic etc - please dont think that just changing the lyrics, changes the message - the music and style is still the same. It still has a grip on you and the devil loves it - please lay it down at His feet and surrender.

  • As I sit here and give it some thought as to a response to this, I first and foremost want to say thank you for your support in wanting me to grow more in Christ. I would also like to come to you with the same intergrity in discussion as to why I feel the way I do. You know Ive seen the same sentences time and time again. Its the devil, its satanic. But look at our origional worship tunes and hymns..i mean the stuff thats older then most worship music out there. They origionated from bar songs.

  • And I think you and I can agree that theres nothing holy about singing about alcohol and drunkeness. This would indicate a change in the message, but the same music. Plus Charles manson took an acoustic guitar and lured people into the living rooms of random homes, and the end result was destruction and occultic.. One thing I believe is that Music is POWERFUL, especially in the Hands of the Lord.

  • I also sit and think, you know, whos going to go into those scenes and tell those kids who are hurting about Jesus? Whos going to be those people that tell them Jesus loves them? Some kids even come out of it telling their parents how they were worshiping Jesus, full fledged hands in the air giving Jesus their all to people who really use Gods gift of the power of testimony on the stage. Gods has done the same thing with the punk scene, and the rap scene.

  • I also personally know a man by the name of Dango (drummer for Amber Pacific) in the punk scene who has led people, including his very own tattoo artist who he spent HOURS with getting ink done ministering to Him. His father who was my pastor for years came to his sons artist, and right then and there, they watched as he accepted Christ. Im more then willing to take this to a PM if you desire further conversation about the matter. I would love to further discuss this if you wish. God Bless!

  • ok, i think i found it...it should be august burns red - meridian...

  • talking about music...whats that august burns red song at about 6:50 on...i cant seem to find it...

  • yeah, it mainly depends on the lyrics/fruit of the song...people should watch They Sold THeir Souls for Rock & Roll and you will get good discernment for music...heavy stuff is ok...

"Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals."

  • seriously?

raven faith bible study said lyrics from hardcore bands are more in your face than "accepted bands" you said i don't agree, then i said check out for today's lyrics because i was backing up what ravenfaithbiblestudy said...i was giving an example of a hardcore band that had good lyrics. what doesn't make sense?

  • Amen, bro.
