-
do you have to pay for the air cast and how do you ask for one off your doc?

I have one now for a hairline fracture to my foot and I think I would prefer a plaster cast. This aircast is very heavy and bulky and very hard for me to walk in as I am unbalanced with it and need crutches as well. Really wishing the Dr put me in a plaster cast instead.

Have mine on now for fracture and sprain better than plaster cast also on Crutches . Happy Days .

i had one of those and F.Y.I. your vocie puts me to sleep

I have one of these from a ligament tearing off of the bone, and also an internal fraction and this helps, it's slightly heavy but you get used to it, and I recommend wearing a sock underneath it
Glad to know our boot was able to help!

Thanks for your question. Yes, the product could be used to help heal a metatarsal fracture indeed. Will the doc give one? That's a question that depends on many factors such as your insurance coverage, and other costs associated with seeing the doctor. Many patients purchase directly from DME-Direct and send their invoice to their insurance company for reimbursement according to their durable medical equipment coverage. In many instances it's faster and more economical to purchase online.
