I tried Garmin only, and Tom Tom do not need to because there is no right cards.

Somewhere I read you can hack the unit to upgrade the software on it. I think to tom tom or something else. You can also change other things on it.

No, everything is fine. Only if you do not turn off the standard navigation - when running long routes - the program crash, but it's not a very big problem.

How do you have the unit mounted? Is that a vent clip?

No, it Integrated directly into the panel using the standard mounting PNA and a pair of metal plates for better fixation.

@Lance26rus
"standard mounting PNA" means the plastic suction cup holder for the Personal Navigation Assistant? I got a f500bt and I upgraded it to firmware 2.0x. Then I put iGo 8.3.x (fake upgrade to 3.0x) on it with the 2009.06 maps. Next I will work on getting the 3D car animation instead of the arrow marker.
My problem is mounting the device. I found a double din kit for my PNA but there is nothing to hold it in place. Where did you get your parts?

Found in the workshop.
I attached this on standart mounting advice, but i am remove plastic suction before, and left turning mechanism only. If you de attache this, you can see on it. One moment, it very wide cable =(. Visit you mechanic, he must can do it ;-D Good Luck!
