The Martin B-57 Canberra was a twin jet engine, light bomber and reconnaissance aircraft (photographic, electronics, and meteorological) which entered service in the 1950s. Originally based on the British English Electric Canberra, the US-built B-57 had evolved into several unique variants.

  • Very interesting. Thanks for uploading! :)

  • This was one of the most radical designs of the post-war era.

  • There is a crazy old black & white sci-fi film called "The Crawling Eye". It stars Forrest Tucker and Janet Munro. At the end of the movie, the surviving people from the story are trapped in a mountaintop observatory, being besieged by alien creatures. A Canberra bomber comes in & bombs the aliens, rescuing the people & saving the day.
