Isn't this a bit too much for the socket? A normal house consumes max 5kWh, this speaker is something like 6kW if it has 8ohm, double if it has 4ohm.

ignorant ppl...subs can be reconed. If he is wall socketing it then there was obviously something wrong with it to begin with. Why recone the sub when it still works when you can blow it up then recone it.

def was 220v ... ive seen subs of less caliber last much longer than 1min in 220v sockets
