Joe Askins of YoChicago.com takes a spin through Margate Park, a part of Chicago's Uptown bounded by Lawrence and Foster avenues, Sheridan Road, and Lake Shore Drive.

In this first segment, Joe starts off near Wilson Yard, the new mixed-use development at the corner of Montrose Avenue and Broadway, then turns north toward Margate Park, passing Weiss Hospital and the sites of several proposed condo developments along Clarendon Avenue.

  • You brought back some of the old memories. I left the north side in 75 and never went back since . It sure looks differant weiss hospital wasn't that bad then , many of the Jewish families lived on marine and shiredan all the way down to devon I guiess they moved away. Thank you for the sight scene , truly I enjoyed it .but I am glad living in Amman Jordan away from the slush and the snow . Thank you again

  • Wow, Weiss Hospital is consider the worst hospital by the cosumers, good to know. I recognized every street you drove by. Brings back so much beautiful memories. My mom used to take me and my brother to Mcdonalds on Foster & Sheridan every weekend when we was very little. Fantastic videos, you got my vote.

  • What the Cappleman!
