I think Tommy James (and also the Shondells) sounds pretty damn good for singing a song that that's FORTY-THREE YEARS old! Not very many vocalists from back then can manage to sing in the same key, let alone sound any good at all! Crappy camera angle, though. :(

I have a lot of respect for this group, so don't take what I say as personal ... but this group in this video (Tommy James) look and sound like has-beens. They need to revamp (improve)n the sound and lighting system. And also, to work on clarity of their music ... not allow their music to sound "so busy" with all that's going on. They sound trapped in the past as Tommy James and the Grandpa's! Just my opinion.

So many artists popular from the 80s (when they were really great) just don't sound very good these days I'm sorry to say. BUT, with Tommy James & The Schondells, these guys were upcoming in the SIXITIES and they sound AWESOME even TODAY! Simply amazing! The artistic genius of Tommy James shines like a lighthouse beacon, even now.

Geez, tough crowd!! Revolution - Hard to do anything about the camera angle when it's a rotating stage:-) Kodachrome - If you've ever seen a show at Westbury, you're NOT going there for the light show. Sound was awesome, believe me!
