  • Which is why foreign automakers are still holding strong on sales while the American automakers are eating shit and picking up the scraps. Europe and Japan are years ahead in terms of alternative engines that run on hydrogen or clean turbo diesel engines. Automakers like BMW, MB, Audi, VM are already producing vehicles that can bang out close to 50mpg if not more using alternative fuels. GM and Ford, where the fuck have you been all this time? No wonder our auto industry suck balls!

  • so wheres the new GM VOLT and all the hoopla

    still a concept huh!

GMs 10 years behind again sleeping on the job making SUVs

  • I don't think you have enough neurons to understand simple chemical equations. Pls. go back to school and learn some more inorganic and organic chemistry.

  • considering how much energy it takes to collect hydrogen, why do we need the hydrogen as the end product?

wouldn't the nuclear plant make as much or more energy than converting to hydrogen?

if hydrogen were free to collect and safe to store it would be very useful - until then it doesn't seem practical

  • the Clarity is an electric car - but instead of batteries it uses hydrogen for energy storage. Jules Vern proposed using hydrogen 130 years ago and the same limitations remain; collecting (takes energy to get it from the atmosphere), storage (i.e. hindenburg) and infrastructure (replacing every gas station n reason Jamie Lee is diving AROUND LA - no other hydro stations)

Great concept and is sound for large trucks n ships but impractical for cars - right now batteries are easier. we'll see...

  • the cheapest way to make hydrogen right now is to strip the carbon off of natural gas so why don't you just use the natural gas to power your car or put the electricity from your electrolysis into batteries and skip the step and the cost of taking electricity making hydrogen then turning that hydrogen back into electricity and I said that it will not work as a production car the honda clarity is not in production.

  • Hydrogen is made through electrolysis with H2O

( water ) my friend......You keep saying that hydrogen fuel cell cars will not work out, BUT they are ALREADY running in the streets of Los Angeles.....Actress Jamie Lee Curtis and a bunch of other people are driving them TODAY ! ! ! Just go and look up HONDA CLARITY, here ONLINE.......My regards Peterbob 101.......CMG.....Miami, Florida

  • Where are you going to get all this hydrogen?

  • YOU ARE JOKING RIGHT Peterbob101 ???

IT WILL WORK......Just sit back and watch.......

MAN WILL NEVER FLY they said back in 1903 as

the Wright Brothers lifted off from Kitty Hawk......

NECESSITY will make the fuel cell affordable...

THE NEED to say goodbye to the gasoline

produced by our enemies.......( The Taliban and Al Qaeda terrorist pigs......)

  • the hydrogen fuel cell car will never work as a production car

  • If your source of energy to create the hydrogen from electrolysis is oil or coal(dirty coal) yes but if your source of electric power to produce hydrogen is wind, solar , clean coal(?), nuclear(?) it is probably clean and emissions are negligible. We could help mother earth.

  • Your trucks can be powered by hydrogen. The space shuttle is propelled into space by liquid hydrogen. See those 2 big tanks when the space shuttle is launched into space, they contain liquid hydrogen. It is a rocket power but it is not rocket science. Hydrogen can be produce from water thru electrolysis. You need energy to do this but it can harnessed from renewable sources such as wind, solar, coal and probably nuclear. It is clean.
