  • I prefer to stay away from .45 when I shoot polymer pistols. Recoil is ridiculous. 9 or even .40 is comfortable.

  • @goldeneye007662 Yea, I think if you want a .45, a 1911 is the way to go. I just wanted to try out an M&P, and this was the only full size one they had. Loved the gun though, very comfortable.

  • i see you are pushing the handgun out from your chest now. you notice the difference?

  • @bullmeatt Haha, yea, it makes a difference. When I was practicing gun handling and stuff with my airsoft pistols, I would drive it out from my chest (especially when I drew from the holster). I forgot to do alot of stuff when I went shooting in August. Your comment on my P226 video reminded me of that.

  • next time your out shooting you should shoot the M1911A1 if they have it. 100 years old and will still sit the person on the receiving end on thier ass.

  • @Treembea I plan to next time I go. I was set on renting an M&P 9, but they only had a sub compact, so i went wit the full size 45.

  • @goldeneye007662 you should try out the full size M&P in 45 then, you might be surprised.

  • cool shooting rang reminds me of portugal 4 some reason

  • I have a M&P .40

  • Show us the grouping!

  • @goldeneye007662 My Glock 30 (subcompact) has less felt recoil (for me) than any of my commander sized 1911s. It is a very odd balance of girth and weight. Not something I expected from a "subcompact". I actually use it for IDPA now due to its incredible accuracy, and its ability to control under high volume of fire.

  • @tactical2bagpipes Undeniably, but the measurable, not felt, recoil will always be greater than a smaller caliber.

When I shoot my 1911, .45 works just fine. Heavier frame reduces much of the felt recoil.

  • @tactical2bagpipes Yea but the you still got nothing on the classics.

  • @Treembea .45 round has the same effect regarldless of the platform it is shot from.....

  • @goldeneye007662 That is only because your posture and weapon purchase is incorrect. A .45 has minimal felt recoil. It is not the weapon or the caliber, it is poor skill on the shooter's part. Most shooters fell theat the .40 S&W has more felt recoil impulse than the .45 and is certainly loaded to much higher pressures. The shooter is this video is controlling the recoil, and muzzle flip correctly.

  • i tend to lose my grip when i shoot this gun, does that happen to anyone?

when i shoot the 1911 its fine. ahaha
