For some of us, opera is still a living art form and we are happy to hear and applaud a remarkable artist like Florez. How depressing if opera is reduced to laying flowers on the tombs of dead singers ...And the great Kraus was accused of being nasal, cold, a "castrato"... But we all know tenors sing better when they're dead :))

I dont like Juan Diego Florez when I first heard him.. but, as I mature in the field of music... I began to see how wonderful this tenor is!! no Pushing, great breath, great technique, brilliant support, a well placed voice, and a great onset of sound! He's great!!!
