  • It had happened to me more than once... I just hope is not gonna happen again in a crucial moment, but who knows. It certainly sound tough, best of luck my friend.

    Cheers,

    Harvey

  • @hjrosasq Thank you for the kind words, Harvey. I've been putting in the hours with it over the last while, so I think I am going to have a good shot at a solid mark on the next one. Preparedness is the way to go, it seems.

  • i enjoy studing languages in my spare time, i find how inferior i really am when speaking with someone much more fluent. sometimes, in tests, the key is to understanding the teacher and how they think about the subject matter. it's not always the case. i hope the weather isn't too cold for you.

the secret santa sounds like a great idea. i personally dislike the old billy budd. i just can't get with it.

    Cheers, Ruben~

  • @NorthGeorgiaPipe Ruben, Good to hear from you again! I am starting, I think, to get into the teacher's method, especially with tests. I think I'll definitely be more prepared for the next one.

I am not a big Billy Budd fan either, exactly why it's been sitting in a jar since I bought it. The smell of it reminds me of something that I cannot pinpoint, but it's not appealing.

Weather is not too bad, not terribly cold yet. It's damp and about 7 today (45 F), so you can get by with just a sweater.C

  • Thanks for your support. I encorage you to watch my video again and check the rules. I had latin for two years, while on high school, and can read it fine, but not write or speak at all. I can only imagine how much harder it is for someone whose first language is english. My father, however, is fluent.. he has a couple of old friends who only speak latin when all together, it's hilarious.

    Cheers

    Gustavo

  • @RequiemPipes Gustavo, I'll post the rules in my description section--it's a great idea.

I am envious of anyone who comes from Romance languages that are not English, who want to learn latin. It can be very challenging going from English to Spanish. That's incredible that they speak it together, not easy to do! Some day I would like to be that good.

  • @darfirst Sounds interesting, I would like to hear more about it. I am all ears for suggestions.

  • I know this will sound crazy but....split your mind. When I stared doing Ventriloquism I noticed that I almost doubled my memory....I"m not sure why it happened but I would assume it's because you now think for two not one. I should just post a vid and may do so in a day or two.
