Re: Our Favourite Poems (respond with YOURS!)

I dont have favourites so here is some original stuff. Maybe I'll acquire a taste for the famous poets.

Alas, as we close our
eyes and lay our weary
bodies and restless minds
in our feathery beds,
we travel once again to the
land of fantasy and dream.
----------------------------
Oh wonderous Earth,
mother of all,
What secrets hide you?
What do you keep,
in the depths of your bountiful forests?
The Earth grumbled as she replied,
"The falling waters, the blowing leaves,
tell stories of ages past."

Shining eyes,
glowing hair.
Every time I walk her by,
a fragerance so sweet comsumes me.
Thoughts leave my head,
speechless I'm left,
as I stop to see her face.
The late bell rings,
I scramble to class,
my heart left on the floor.

warring minds,
bombing thoughts.
ideas flying,
hope dying.
the hope found a day anew,
to be crushed at nights dew.
if one wished to know,
the wonder of one's love,
they need not look further
than to bodies on the floor.
those lifeless shells,
without ever saying a word,
gave more meaning to life
than words ever could.

Eyes with a brown glean,
her hair with a brown sheen.

Her milky white skin,
rosy from the cold,
radiates from all sides
a beauty unmatched.

An angel with no wings,
who fell from heaven,
she stole my heart
and refused to give it back.

She still has my heart,
the heartstrings strumming,
singing the archaic tune
of my lost love past.

Very brave to share your own stuff, it´s one thing to write it but another completely to expose yourself like this.  Well done! (I couldn´t do it, I can´t write poetry!!)
