Literally these are the only aliens that seem to freak me out in films. I remember as a kid in 2005 watching this. Just the look of them and noise was spot on, I can't recall anything else getting close to how they did it in this film.

I saw this movie like a millions of times if the military defeated the that huge mother ship at the hill that means they could destroy them all by just nuking the whole place

This movie was great except for the kid wanting to fight the aliens. There's always some kid who ruins it, same with "The Day The Earth Stood Still" Just leave out the love stories and whining kids and marriages that take up to many scenes.
