@AFX6502 not quite, the amiga would probably be considered to have the technically best sound capabilities of any computer up until windows 95 pc's with dedicated sound cards
-
Yeah, but both have different features. The YM2612 in the Genesis has 6 FM channels. The YM2203 used in the PC-88 has 3 FM channels and 3 PSG channels, which can only output square waves and noise.
Besides, this version is 6 years older than the Sega CD version. Konami refined their FM sound a lot during that period.

In this version, it has a great sound.

Is it just me, or is his decapitated head smirking at me?
-
@uthertheking I know it's been a year since you posted this comment, but that was hysterically funny!!
-
Considering I was only about 6 or 7 when this game was originally made, I would probably be scared shitless if I happened to see the decapitated body of Jean Jack Gibson.

HA HA HA HA!!

I would have expected the audio to be similar to that of the Genesis version; the PC-88 and the genesis both use FM Synth.

Woah woah woah, gibson! calm down; don't lose your head! You'll never get a-head in life with such attitude! I guess Gillian and Metal should HEAD out of that factory, now.
-
his head has been completely twisted off, who or what could have done this
Do you have any more videos from the PC88 version? Would love to see some more, the FM music is really nice. Thanks for this.

Since you asked, I might add another video. I agree, the Snatcher's music sounds really awesome. The sound system of the PC-8801mkIIsr and after, boasted amazing sound capabilities. Far more advanced compared to what other computers and video game consoles had during its time.
