Nothing.  This isn't built with composite armor, this is armor steel.

What is the brinell strength of your steels?

We use a Mil-Spec rated ballistic steel and it carries a hardness rating of 520-565

Thanks for posting this video. I always enjoy these. Of course it does show an obvious weakness. While I understand that the armor is essentially a short term survival technique that allows the vehicle to get away, I can't help wonder about the 421 round business.

Shots were never placed on top of one another, for obvious reasons. Why play the total shots game when two or three closely placed shots would clearly penetrate the safety cell?

Oh, that's right, to sell stuff. Nevermind.

Actually, that is not totally correct. In real world situations, direct shots on top of each other would be very unlikely. The material we run, being that it is not composite based, can take several direct shots on top of each other without penetration. What this test video is suppose to show is overlap protection in door jams and weld joints.
